Shop Supervisor – Service Operations

About the role

Finning International Inc. is seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead its service shop at the Mildred Lake facility in Fort McMurray. The role oversees daily shop performance, ensuring repairs are completed quickly, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑output technician team focused on safety, velocity and quality.
• Manage all shop operations including workload assignment, bay flow, parts readiness and final quality control.
• Identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions and use data to drive productivity, rework reduction and throughput.
• Apply Lean practices to standardise work, eliminate waste and increase velocity.
• Maintain uncompromising safety and quality standards on every repair.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams in service, manufacturing or equipment operations.
• Strong technical foundation in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proven ability to lead high‑performance teams in fast‑paced environments.
• Data‑driven decision‑making, excellent communication and the ability to prioritize instantly.
