Shipping Supervisor

About the role

The Shipping Supervisor will lead the daily shipping operations at AGI’s Winnipeg facility, ensuring that finished products are prepared, staged, and loaded for outbound delivery safely, accurately and on schedule. This position works closely with production, customer service, logistics and other internal teams to coordinate priorities and resolve issues that affect shipment timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping activities, prioritising work based on production schedules, customer requirements and shipment deadlines.
• Provide direction and support to shipping staff, ensuring tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
• Oversee preparation, staging and loading of finished products for outbound shipments.
• Verify that shipments meet documentation and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with Production, Customer Service, Logistics and other departments to align shipping priorities.
• Monitor workload, adjust assignments and communicate any delays or material issues.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and support inventory accuracy.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company safety procedures.
• Assist with training, onboarding and continuous‑improvement initiatives within the shipping area.
• Investigate shipping errors and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, logistics or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset but not mandatory.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with shipping, inventory or ERP systems.
