Shipper – Logistics & Shipping Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Shipper to join our head office in Les Cèdres. Reporting to the Material Manager, you will ensure safe and compliant shipment of aeronautical products, supporting Canadian Helicopters’ extensive fleet operations.

Key responsibilities

• Pack aeronautical items according to industry standards, preventing damage and complying with dangerous‑goods regulations.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation using company systems and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify and tag products to maintain traceability throughout the shipping cycle.
• Measure package dimensions, verify weight, calculate volume and select optimal transport routes.
• Coordinate shipments via computer searches and phone calls, balancing deadlines and cost efficiency.
• Inspect incoming packages for compliance with company policies.
• Operate a forklift when required and perform deliveries as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of shipping and receiving areas and perform any additional duties assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Proficiency with computers and MS Office.
• Basic math skills and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously, show initiative and pay attention to detail.
• Physical capacity to lift and move loads up to 50 lb.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
• Forklift certification or experience (asset).
• Bilingualism in English/French (asset).
