Shift Leader – Nighttime Bakery Operations

About the role

Join Insomnia Cookies as a Shift Leader at our new Guelph bakery. You will oversee daily operations during your shift, ensuring customers receive warm, fresh cookies and exceptional service in a fast‑paced, late‑night environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain product quality throughout the shift.
• Support store leadership by monitoring production efficiency, communicating important information, and upholding company standards.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks such as baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the Cookie Crew.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow safe food‑handling practices.
• Handle cash transactions, deposits, and POS operations accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer‑service focused role.
• Strong communication, time‑management, and people skills.
• Outgoing, friendly, patient demeanor with a detail‑oriented, results‑driven attitude.
• Ability to lead by example, motivate teammates, and lift up to 40 lb.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada and at least 18 years old.

Required skills

• Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
