About the role

Black & McDonald is seeking a motivated Sheet Metal Worker Apprentice in its Construction Division. This position offers a dynamic, hands‑on environment where no two days are alike, and apprentices work under the guidance of experienced tradespeople while earning top industry wages.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Install HVAC ductwork, ventilation systems, roofing components, and architectural sheet metal.
• Operate rigging and hoisting equipment safely.
• Perform quality inspections and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain a safe work site.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled in a Sheet Metal Worker apprenticeship program at the 2nd or 3rd‑year level.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
