Service Electrician (Red Seal)

About the role

As a Service Electrician (Red Seal) you will provide high‑quality electrical services to clients, ensuring safe and efficient operation of electrical systems. You will perform maintenance, repairs and installations while complying with codes and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including fire alarm, distribution, and HVAC/lighting control installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and conduct inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Provide professional customer service, explaining work performed and answering questions.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls to resolve electrical failures.
• Receive, process and manage work orders to ensure timely completion.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Journeyman electrician.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a service technician role.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work day, afternoon or night shifts and travel as needed.
• Successful completion of a background check and proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
• Distribution system installation and maintenance.
• HVAC and lighting control system installation and maintenance.
• Red Seal certification (FSR designation is an asset).
