Service Boiler Technician

About the role

Black & McDonald is seeking an experienced Service Boiler Technician to join its Service Division in Saskatoon, SK. The role involves hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial plumbing and heating equipment, with a strong focus on customer service and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance on commercial plumbing and heating equipment, including boilers, pumps, and hot‑water tanks.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial boiler systems.
• Complete daily service reports using the B&M mobile service reporting application.
• Work autonomously or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Communicate clearly with customers, suppliers, and team members via phone, text, email, and mobile apps.
• Participate in rotating 24/7 emergency on‑call support.

Required skills

• Red Seal Plumbing or Refrigeration Trade Qualification (or ability to work alone).
• B‑Gas Certification (asset).
• Cross‑Connection Control Certification (asset).
• A‑Gas Certification (asset).
• WHMIS, SCOTT, R&R, Mobile Aerial Platform, Fall Protection, and Confined Space Training (assets).
• Clean Class 5 SK Driver’s License.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and mobile device applications.
