Service Advisor – Automotive Service Department

About the role

The Service Advisor provides frontline customer communication and service for the automotive service department. You will act as the liaison between customers and technicians, sell recommended repairs, and ensure a smooth service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Sell recommended and required vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and service technicians.
• Explain maintenance procedures, costs, and the importance of regular service.
• Advise customers on vehicle care and maintenance schedules.
• Schedule appointments, provide status updates, and follow up with customers.
• Accurately prepare repair orders and invoices.

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Service Advisor or in sales/customer service, preferably in an automotive or dealership setting.
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds) and CRM systems.
• Ability to sell vehicle maintenance services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, organizational ability, and professionalism.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
