Service Administrator / Dispatcher

About the role

The Service Administrator/Dispatcher supports the Edmonton Service Division by coordinating field technicians and handling key administrative tasks. Reporting to the Service Administration Supervisor, this role ensures smooth daily operations and acts as a central liaison among staff, customers, and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and schedule customer service requests.
• Dispatch Service Technicians and maintain on‑call schedules, including after‑hours coordination.
• Create, update, and manage work orders and purchase orders following company procedures.
• Process and post technician labor hours accurately and timely.
• Procure parts, materials, and subcontractor services needed for service activities.
• Monitor work‑order backlogs, ensuring timely follow‑up and completion.
• Support invoicing by verifying work orders are complete and billing‑ready.
• Generate and distribute operational and service‑related reports.
• Track and maintain records for tools, keys, and other assets assigned to technicians.
• Provide general administrative support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
