Senior Tax Manager

About the role

This high‑impact senior tax position offers visibility across the organization and close partnership with experienced leaders to shape and oversee the tax function of a global automotive finance business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead indirect tax compliance, including multi‑entity reporting, SLFI filings and monthly sales‑tax returns, while supervising first‑level reviews and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Prepare quarterly income‑tax provisions and deferred‑tax analyses, and evaluate tax treatment for financial, statutory and management reporting.
• Manage tax audits and examinations, work with external advisors and respond to regulatory requests such as IDRs.
• Support tax‑planning initiatives, conduct research and drive special projects aimed at optimizing effective tax rates and cash flow.
• Contribute to transfer‑pricing strategy by developing methodologies, supporting intercompany agreements and overseeing related studies and transactions.

Required profile

• CPA designation, MTax, or CPA In‑Depth Tax Program (Levels 1‑3) completed.
• Minimum 6 + years of Canadian corporate tax experience.
• Strong proficiency in both direct and indirect tax compliance and planning.
• Proven experience at an Experienced Manager or Senior Manager level.
