Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Canadian Tax Team in Grimsby, Ontario. The role focuses on the preparation and analysis of Canadian tax filings, tax accounting entries and supporting tax audits for our subsidiaries. You will work initially on‑site and later transition to a hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate transfer pricing reporting, prepare Canadian tax schedules and transfer pricing reports, and manage intercompany agreements.
• Prepare corporate income tax returns and ensure accurate supporting documentation.
• Review and prepare tax provision entries and forecasts for current and deferred taxes.
• Support commodity tax reports and remittances.
• Lead audit processes, gather documentation, and respond to tax authorities.
• Research tax issues and document findings.
• Participate in projects to improve systems, automate processes, and assess tax impacts of business decisions.
• Provide guidance and support to less‑experienced team members.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of dedicated Canadian corporate or commodity tax experience.
• Over 8 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in large corporations.
• Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CA).
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $60‑$68 (CAD) with flexible start times between 7 am and 9 am.
• Hybrid work model – primarily onsite during training, then one day per week on average.
• One‑year contract with the possibility of extension.
