Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join a mid‑sized public accounting firm in Vancouver. Reporting to managers, senior managers and partners, you will prepare and review personal, corporate and trust tax returns while supporting CRA matters across a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review personal, corporate and trust tax returns
• Prepare GST, T4 and T5 filings
• Support CRA audits, reviews and client correspondence
• Prepare working papers and financial statements in accordance with firm standards
• Assist with tax engagements under management supervision
• Respond to client and staff questions related to tax and accounting matters
• Build and maintain effective client relationships

Required profile

• CPA designation or recent CFE writer
• 2–3 years of public practice experience
• Willingness to enroll in CPA In‑Depth Tax and GST/HST programs
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
