Senior System Administrator

About the role
Skyline is seeking a passionate Senior System Administrator to join our Technology Solutions team at the head office in Guelph. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our technology infrastructure, driving efficiency, and supporting both on‑premises and cloud environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across Windows, Linux, virtualization, and hybrid cloud platforms.
- Lead deployment, management, and optimization of Azure solutions, including VMs, networking, storage, and hybrid connectivity.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and identity/access management.
- Act as senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, cloud, and networking issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot enterprise TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless.
- Architect Azure networking (VNETs, subnets, routing, ExpressRoute) and ensure secure hybrid connectivity.
- Implement system patching, backup, and disaster‑recovery processes.
- Develop SOPs, technical documentation, and mentor junior staff.
Required profile
- Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365).
- Strong hands‑on background designing and supporting Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
- Advanced networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Asset Management).
- Proven ability to deliver highly available, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions.
