Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack – Java, React)

About the role

Mastercard’s AI & Decision Engineering Platform powers real‑time decisioning for fraud prevention and identity validation. As a Senior Software Engineer you will design and implement high‑performance, cloud‑ready solutions that operate at global scale, mentor team members and stay hands‑on with coding, testing and design.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end software delivery tasks including design, development, testing, deployment, support, documentation and configuration.
• Develop full‑stack features, writing both front‑end React components and back‑end Java/REST API services.
• Collaborate in SAFe Agile scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous delivery pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers while actively writing production‑grade code.
• Participate in building streaming analytics, business rules engines and AI‑driven decisioning components.

Required profile

• Technical programmer with proven experience building high‑performance applications.
• Passion for writing clean code and comprehensive automated tests.
• Interest in contributing to fraud‑prevention solutions that protect Mastercard transactions worldwide.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, attending on‑site days in Vancouver.
