Senior Shop Technician

About the role

BluMetric Environmental Inc. is seeking a motivated and reliable Senior Shop Technician to lead shop and installation crews building water and wastewater treatment systems at its Carp location. The role involves hands‑on fabrication, equipment handling and supporting the Production Manager during the 6:30 am – 2:45 pm shift.

Key responsibilities

• Move and handle equipment, including lifting up to 50 lb.
• Cut and drill structural steel, fiberglass, and PVC piping.
• Perform basic electrical rough‑ins and general shop maintenance.
• Ensure work areas are clean, organized and compliant with health and safety policies.
• Provide regular production updates to the Production Manager and assist in training staff.

Required profile

• 15 years of experience in a shop environment (asset).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in welding, electrical work, and/or plumbing.
• Ability to interpret diagrams, schematics, standards and codes.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to obtain government security clearance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a solid safety record.
