Senior SEO Specialist

About the role

We are a fast‑growing performance agency looking for a Senior SEO Specialist to lead, mentor and execute high‑impact SEO campaigns. The role is hybrid, based in our North York office, and offers the chance to work with AI‑first optimization tools while shaping long‑term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of SEO specialists while rolling up your sleeves to execute campaigns.
• Plan, implement and oversee holistic SEO strategies for local, national and global brands, integrating traditional tactics with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
• Develop AI‑optimized content prompts to capture featured snippets and AI‑driven answers.
• Optimize Google Business Profiles, run review‑generation campaigns, conduct citation audits and create localized content programs.
• Build dashboards and reports that track traditional KPIs and emerging AI‑driven metrics, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Serve as the primary SEO advisor for clients, presenting strategies and results to stakeholders and supporting sales pitches.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading SEO teams and delivering hands‑on campaign execution.
• Deep knowledge of HARO, Skyscraper techniques, manual outreach and creative link‑building.
• Expertise in AI overview optimization for platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini.
• Strong background in keyword research, technical SEO audits and feature prioritisation.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with content, UX and development teams.
• Comprehensive experience with local SEO and Google Business Profile management.
