Senior Retirement Actuarial Consultant

About the role

Marsh Canada is looking for a Senior Retirement Actuarial Consultant to join its Retirement Actuarial Consulting team, based in Calgary. This is a hybrid role with at least three days a week spent in the office. The consultant sells and delivers customized retirement consulting services to new and existing clients (large or jumbo), focusing on implementing non-standard and complex solutions across multiple lines of business, while also leading and developing internal staff.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as lead consultant on mid-size, large and jumbo clients
• Help expand existing clients by using the firm's intellectual capital and partnering with other lines of business
• Mentor and coach staff to deliver high-quality work within timeframes and budgets
• Use and develop intellectual capital
• Partner with local office and market leadership to grow market presence
• Lead and take part in sales initiatives, proposals and service expansions for retirement and other lines of business

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related field
• At least 8 years of experience in actuarial or retirement consulting with a proven ability to deliver such services
• Experience leading teams and managing projects
• Proven sales results and financial project management skills
• Demonstrated success leading large teams and complex client engagements, and a track record of sales and client relationship growth
