Senior Research Manager - Data Scientist

About the role

The Senior Research Manager – Data Scientist will lead advanced quantitative analytics within Mastercard’s Advisors Research Center (ARC). Based in Toronto, you will work on multi‑market primary research studies, applying sophisticated statistical methods to generate actionable insights for clients across industries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute and interpret advanced quantitative methodologies such as MaxDiff, Choice‑Based Conjoint, segmentation and regression analysis.
• Support experimental design and analytical planning for complex research projects.
• Analyze large survey datasets to uncover patterns, trade‑offs and behavioral insights.
• Validate model results, assess methodological robustness and ensure analytical rigor.
• Collaborate with ARC researchers, consulting teams and external clients to translate analytical outputs into clear business recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quantitative research and advanced analytics, preferably in a senior or managerial role.
• Strong statistical judgment and comfort working with complex, multi‑dimensional datasets.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
