Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a high‑impact data and analytics transformation initiative for a major financial services organization in Montreal. The role is hybrid, requiring 3‑4 days on‑site each week, and starts with a five‑month fixed‑term contract that may be extended through December 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor complex, cross‑functional projects spanning business, IT, data, risk, compliance, security, operations, and external vendors.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and governance structures, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
• Facilitate workshops, capture requirements, formalize decisions, and translate them into actionable deliverables.
• Produce regular status reports, maintain project documentation, and support steering committees.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of project management experience in data, analytics, digital transformation, or large‑scale programs, preferably within financial services.
• Strong command of French (both written and spoken) and excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a matrixed, highly regulated environment, with political acumen and rigor.

Required skills

• Mastery of core project management fundamentals (planning, risk management, budgeting, governance).
• Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams and vendors.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and implementation.
