Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead mid‑to‑large commercial and institutional construction projects from concept through close‑out. The role combines pre‑construction leadership under construction management (CM), design‑to‑tender workflow oversight, and execution of stipulated‑sum contracts. You will mentor project teams, build strong client and subcontractor relationships, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑lifecycle delivery of commercial projects typically $30M+ in scope.
• Manage cradle‑to‑grave delivery including design review, constructability input, estimating, budgeting (Class D, B, Tender), tendering, procurement, contract administration, construction sequencing, site logistics and methodology development.
• Oversee both open CM (CCDC 5A/5B) and converted CM (CCDC 2) delivery models, shifting projects to fixed‑sum contracts through risk identification and tender recap.
• Mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities throughout construction.
• Craft compelling proposals and methodologies that win work and articulate client value.
• Implement estimating input, sub‑trade buy‑outs, change‑order controls and robust forecasts.
• Mentor project managers, coordinators, superintendents and support staff to develop future leaders.
• Foster client, consultant and subcontractor relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
• Embed continuous‑improvement practices, streamline processes, reinforce safety best practices and capture lessons learned.

Required profile

• 8+ years of general contractor experience (not developer) delivering mid‑to‑large commercial projects.
• Proven track record managing projects with budgets of $30 million or more.
• Strong knowledge of CCDC 5A/5B and CCDC 2 contract models.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive safety, quality and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
