Senior Project Manager – Construction Portfolio

About the role

Clearwaygroup is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of complex construction projects across the Lower Mainland. Reporting to the Project Director, you will provide strategic oversight, mentor junior staff, and ensure projects meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a multi‑project portfolio, aligning each effort with corporate goals and tracking performance via metrics and dashboards.
• Mentor Project Managers and Coordinators, fostering a collaborative, accountable culture.
• Lead complex contracts, approve high‑value subcontracts, and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and safety standards.
• Identify inter‑project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve critical issues under pressure.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, regulators, and public stakeholders, driving repeat business.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, providing executive‑level updates on portfolio health.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Civil Engineering preferred) or Construction Management degree with extensive civil construction experience.
• 10+ years of construction experience, including program or portfolio management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities in high‑pressure environments.
• Proven expertise in contract administration, union agreements, and relevant legislation.
• Valid British Columbia driver’s licence and eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship.
