Senior Program Assistant – VFMP Hospital Sites

About the role

The Vancouver Fraser Medical Program (VFMP) is seeking a Senior Program Assistant to provide high‑level administrative support for UBC’s MD Undergraduate Program activities across multiple hospital sites in the Fraser region. This role bridges the Vancouver‑Fraser team, on‑site clinical faculty, and curriculum delivery groups, ensuring smooth operation of medical education sites.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver senior administrative support for UBC MD undergraduate activities at Royal Columbian Hospital, Burnaby Hospital, Surrey Memorial Hospital and occasional Vancouver sites.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day logistics, scheduling, and documentation for curriculum delivery and site development.
• Liaise with clinical faculty, staff, and curriculum teams to address program development and operational matters.
• Manage communications and relationship‑building with internal units and external partners.
• Support hybrid work arrangements and adapt to changing priorities and ambiguous situations.

Required profile

• Experience in senior administrative or program support roles within higher education or health‑care environments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, and prioritize tasks effectively.
