Senior Procurement Specialist – Project Procurement Lead

About the role

The Senior Procurement Specialist will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for a major project, ensuring alignment with the Project Management Office and cross‑functional teams. You will be the primary point of contact for subcontractors, handling RFPs, contract negotiations, and purchase orders while supporting engineering, planning, and estimation functions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, issue, and evaluate RFPs; select suppliers and recommend awards.
• Lead commercial negotiations with subcontractors to secure favourable pricing, delivery schedules and contract terms.
• Draft, review and issue purchase orders and contracts in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with PMO, engineering, legal and finance teams to align procurement strategy with budget, timeline and compliance constraints.
• Provide procurement input to project planning, risk management and cost estimation.
• Monitor and report on subcontractor tender status, procurement performance metrics and contract progress.
• Identify and resolve supply‑chain delays, contract disputes or non‑compliance issues.
• Maintain detailed records of contracts, POs, supplier communications and performance reviews.

Required profile

• Senior‑level procurement professional with proven experience on large‑scale projects.
• Strong ability to communicate and coordinate with PMO, engineering, legal and finance stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills to track procurement metrics and project impact.
