Senior Manager, Business Management and Initiatives

About the role

The Senior Manager, Business Management and Initiatives partners directly with the CEO and senior leadership team to translate firm‑wide priorities into actionable plans. Based in downtown Toronto, the role ensures disciplined execution, cross‑functional collaboration, and measurable outcomes that drive long‑term growth and client focus.

Key responsibilities

• Enable execution of corporate initiatives by supporting planning, monitoring, and delivery of multi‑year strategic plans.
• Coordinate annual and long‑term strategic planning cycles, aligning initiatives with firm priorities.
• Conduct market, competitive and internal analyses to inform decision‑making and identify growth opportunities.
• Partner with the Executive Assistant community to prioritize the CEO’s agenda and focus on high‑value initiatives.
• Prepare executive‑level materials such as town halls, Board presentations, and business updates.
• Maintain the monthly Operating Committee dashboard and consolidate firm‑wide updates on recruiting, ECM, financials, risk, compliance, and HR.
• Drive accountability for key decisions across the Executive Leadership Team.
• Lead cross‑functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and measurable results.
• Promote collaboration across RJL business lines and monitor KPIs and operating rhythms.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior‑level business management, strategic planning or corporate initiatives.
• Strong ability to translate high‑level priorities into concrete actions and track progress.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills across multiple business units.
• Demonstrated analytical capability to synthesize market and internal data for strategic insights.
• Effective communication skills for preparing and delivering executive‑level presentations.
