Senior Manager, Academic Programs, Teaching and Learning

About the role

The Senior Manager, Academic Programs, Teaching and Learning provides strategic leadership for curriculum development, program renewal and teaching‑learning initiatives at the UBC Okanagan campus. Reporting to the Office of the Provost and Vice‑President Academic, this position works closely with faculty, staff and external partners to advance academic quality and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of strategic priorities related to teaching, learning and academic programs.
• Support academic units in curriculum design, renewal and accreditation processes.
• Oversee governance approval and quality‑assurance reviews for all academic programs.
• Liaise with the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training on degree quality assessments.
• Coordinate campus‑wide academic unit reviews and ensure alignment with institutional goals.
• Drive initiatives that promote academic integrity and innovative teaching practices.
• Build strong relationships with faculty, staff and support units to champion teaching‑learning priorities.

Required profile

• Significant experience in higher‑education program development, curriculum renewal or academic administration.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing complex, multi‑stakeholder projects.
• Knowledge of academic governance, quality‑assurance and accreditation processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across diverse academic communities.
