Senior Linux Systems Administrator

About the role

Wind River is seeking a Senior Analyst to lead Linux systems administration across a global, multi‑platform environment. You will collaborate with an international team of Linux and Windows administrators to deliver enterprise‑level support and ensure the reliability of critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialized support for Linux/Windows infrastructure, including DNS, NIS/IDM, NFS, SAMBA, and Dell server hardware.
• Build, install, and maintain physical and virtual servers.
• Troubleshoot server and hardware issues, escalating when necessary.
• Design, test, implement, and document infrastructure architectures.
• Develop automation solutions using Shell, Perl, and Ansible.
• Maintain system and security patches, virus and malware protection.
• Monitor system performance, plan capacity growth, and ensure backups are performed.
• Participate in a 24x7 support rotation and handle trouble tickets.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
• Availability for 24x7 on‑call rotation.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting large‑scale Linux environments.
• Ability to evaluate hardware, OS, network, and application upgrades.
