Senior Global Hip Health Coordinator

About the role

The Senior Global Hip Health Coordinator oversees a broad range of activities that ensure the smooth operation and success of the Hippy Lab’s research initiatives. This includes planning and executing global events, managing communications and promotional materials, and providing financial oversight of grants, donor contributions, and reporting in line with UBC, PHSA and funding‑agency policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end planning and execution of local and international events, including budgeting (up to $75K+), speaker coordination, logistics and post‑event reporting.
• Develop and implement communication strategies across websites, social media, email platforms and promotional materials for stakeholders, media, donors and fundraising partners.
• Manage financial resources for the lab: budget development, allocation, quarterly payments to study sites, grant finance administration and compliance with UBC/PHSA policies.
• Oversee recruitment, training, supervision and performance management of full‑cycle student employees and volunteers.
• Identify, negotiate and maintain contracts with technology vendors and service providers supporting global outreach and the Hip Hope Network.
• Maintain agreements, partnership records and coordinate project updates with internal and external stakeholders.
