Senior Fund Tax Analyst

About the role

Fidelity is seeking a Senior Fund Tax Analyst to join the Fund Treasurer’s Office in Toronto. The role supports the Director of Fund Tax and works on a flexible hybrid schedule, contributing to tax compliance, reporting, and strategic projects for the firm’s investment funds.

Key responsibilities

• Review monthly, quarterly and annual distribution calculations prepared by service providers.
• Prepare and file yearly T3 Trust Income Tax Returns and applicable foreign tax returns.
• Conduct tax analysis on fund events such as large rebalancing and client redemptions.
• Prepare internal stakeholder reporting for ETFs.
• Document foreign tax reclaims and respond to ad‑hoc requests.
• Assist with the review of FCSC taxable positions.
• Support non‑routine tax projects as they arise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of experience in a tax‑related role, preferably within a financial institution.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, ask insightful questions and deliver results.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, V‑lookups).
• Tax research database such as CCH.
• Taxprep software.
