Senior Frontend Software Engineer, AI UX

About the role

Pebl is building a conversational AI assistant that helps companies manage global employment. As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, AI UX you will own the user‑facing experience of this AI‑native product, shaping how users interact with streaming responses, fallback states and human‑in‑the‑loop moments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement full‑stack features for the AI assistant, taking deep ownership of the frontend/UX layer, including component architecture, state management, and visual polish.
• Apply LLM‑based and agentic system knowledge—prompt design, tool/function calling, multi‑step reasoning—to shape both the assistant’s behavior and its presentation in the UI.
• Prototype and propose innovative interaction patterns as underlying models and agentic capabilities evolve, pushing the boundaries of conversational UX.
• Build and maintain clean TypeScript/React codebases and supporting backend contracts and APIs that enable real‑time streaming and agentic workflows.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and champion clean, maintainable code across the stack while fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong preference for frontend/product development and a track record of shipping high‑impact user interfaces.
• 1+ years of hands‑on experience building LLM‑powered or agentic products, including designing how an agent reasons, uses tools, and hands control back to the user.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver polished, user‑centric experiences beyond standard CRUD applications, with an eye for detail and craftsmanship.
• Comfortable working across the full stack when needed, including backend services and infrastructure, and embracing a lean, iterative development mindset.
