Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Best Buy Canada, you will provide stakeholders with clear visibility into performance drivers through accurate reporting, forecasting, and insight‑led analysis. You will support strategic decision‑making and improve process efficiency in a fast‑paced, remote‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly internal financial reports comparing actuals to budget, forecast and prior year, and analyse key variances.
• Build, maintain, and enhance KPI dashboards to monitor performance across business units, channels, and locations.
• Support the end‑to‑end financial planning cycle, including annual long‑range plans, quarterly updates, budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Translate complex financial data into actionable business insights through monthly/quarterly reviews and weekly scorecards.
• Provide high‑quality, fact‑based financial and operational analyses to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and management reporting.
• 2+ years within a large retail or omnichannel organization.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with high attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel/VBA.
• Hands‑on experience with Power BI.
