Senior Corporate Accountant

About the role

Our client, a growing real estate development company in Vancouver, is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to strengthen its finance team. This role offers exposure to complex corporate accounting, multi‑entity reporting, and strategic finance projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting working papers.
• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements across multiple entities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
• Assist with corporate tax, GST, and other regulatory filings.
• Support process improvements and finance‑related projects as required.

Required profile

• CPA designation (or nearing completion).
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in real estate, construction, property management, public practice, or a related industry is an asset.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
