Senior Consultant, POP Procurement

About the role

The Senior Consultant, POP Procurement partners with the Manager to lead sourcing, vendor management, and contract compliance for point‑of‑purchase signage across Canadian Tire Retail and Party City. This role ensures that all signage needed for line reviews and in‑store marketing initiatives is procured efficiently, delivering cost savings and seamless execution.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with In‑Store Marketing and POP Line Review teams to define signage requirements and ensure procurement through contracts.
• Provide sourcing support, drive cost‑effectiveness, and coach analysts on forecasting, KPI reporting, and contract compliance.
• Serve as primary escalation point for vendor or cross‑functional issues, removing blockers quickly.
• Collaborate with the Manager on strategic initiatives, savings targets, process documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate cross‑banner stakeholders, align ordering with the POP Guide, and track vendor performance.
• Consolidate analyst inputs into executive‑ready updates, highlighting risks, insights, and recommended actions.
• Develop and manage the supplier base, participate in negotiations, and monitor market trends to mitigate supply‑chain risks.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or related retail operations.
• Strong knowledge of retail signage (preferred) and solid understanding of procurement processes and contract fundamentals.
