Senior Communications Specialist

About the role

The Senior Communications Specialist will join the CEO Office in Markham to shape internal and external messaging that supports business priorities, strengthens culture, and protects the organization’s reputation. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the role works directly with the CEO on executive communications, press releases, speaking engagements and other high‑visibility content.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver weekly company‑wide huddles, internal newsletters, CEO speeches and other employee‑focused communications.
• Develop and manage consistent messaging across all internal channels and support the planning of town halls, strategic planning sessions and executive off‑sites.
• Write press releases, draft speeches and talking points for the CEO and senior leaders, and coordinate external speaking engagements.
• Assist with crisis communication planning, thought‑leadership initiatives and government‑relations outreach.
• Support the Chief of Staff with ad‑hoc writing, correspondence and cross‑departmental communication improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate, internal or executive communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail and a proactive learning mindset.
• Fluency in spoken Mandarin or Cantonese is required.
