Senior Buyer – Canada

About the role

The Senior Buyer reports to the Purchasing Manager and is responsible for overseeing all accessory procurement activities across Canada. This role ensures a reliable, cost‑effective supply chain while supporting new product launches and maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the full supply chain, identify potential suppliers, and evaluate cost‑saving opportunities.
• Negotiate, administer, and review purchase contracts with regional and local Canadian vendors.
• Establish long‑term partnerships to secure reliable supply and favorable terms.
• Collaborate with Product Line Managers and internal stakeholders to define specifications and procure accessories efficiently.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery timeliness, and overall value.
• Manage inventory levels, place orders when stock falls below minimum, and create rolling forecasts for ordering.
• Coordinate inbound container planning to balance volume and availability.
• Support invoice processing, discrepancy reconciliation, and cost‑analysis reporting.
• Ensure compliance with QMS procedures, handle non‑conformities, and participate in physical inventory counts.

Required profile

• College diploma (CD) with at least 5 years of experience in a similar purchasing environment, or a BAC (considered an asset).
• Membership in the Canadian Purchases Management Association is a plus.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
