Senior Bookkeeper – Full‑time Permanent Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join UMC Financial Management Inc. in Edmonton. The role involves managing the full spectrum of bookkeeping activities, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting payroll and reporting functions. You will work independently in a fast‑paced environment, meeting tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare payroll cheques.
• Compute fixed assets and depreciation.
• Maintain and balance accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
• Update general ledgers, post journal entries, and prepare trial balances.
• Produce financial statements, statistical and accounting reports.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of records.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable handling repetitive tasks and tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Reliable, organized, and a team player.
