Senior Aviation Architect

About the role

As a Senior Aviation Architect at Gensler, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑profile aviation projects from concept through construction. You will combine industry expertise with technical acumen to ensure innovative, code‑compliant designs that meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client, team and project coordination, including documentation with structural, MEP, lighting, AV and civil consultants.
• Facilitate communication among project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and permitting officials.
• Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex design challenges.
• Maintain project manuals and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits, process submittals, substitution requests and RFIs during construction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 10+ years of experience in a commercial design firm, with a focus on aviation projects.
• Licensed Architect status.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, construction methods and structural systems.
• Preferred accreditation in LEED, WELL, Passive House or related sustainability programs.

• Base salary range $98,500 – $120,000 per year.
