Senior Application Developer – Banking & Financial Services

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Application Developer with strong experience supporting and enhancing mission‑critical banking applications in a high‑availability, regulatory‑driven environment. The role combines hands‑on development, Unix automation, and incident management using ServiceNow.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance banking and financial applications covering payments, trade processing, wealth management, risk, or regulatory reporting.
• Write and maintain code in Java, Python, Shell scripting, and Oracle PL/SQL while adhering to banking security standards and coding best practices.
• Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for batch job automation, monitoring, alerting, and secure file transfers (SFTP/FTPS).
• Optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL objects, tune complex queries, and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and traceability for compliance.
• Use ServiceNow to manage incidents and problems, collaborating with business users, QA, infrastructure, database, and DevOps teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members and participate in architecture reviews.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in application development and production support within banking or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to work in regulated, business‑critical environments and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
