Senior Android Developer (Montreal)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to join our Information Systems and Digital team in Montreal. You will work on new and existing mobile applications, delivering secure, high‑performance solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio and Gradle.
• Modernize legacy codebases, reduce technical debt and improve architecture, testability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, architects, QA and business stakeholders to deliver features that meet business objectives.
• Implement integrations with REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication services, secure storage and push notifications.
• Write automated unit tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in clean architecture and Agile delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience building production‑grade Android applications.
• Fluent in English and French with strong communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in cross‑functional, client‑facing teams.

• MVVM, Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection, modular architecture, repository/use‑case patterns
• Jetpack Compose and/or XML UI, Jetpack libraries
• REST and GraphQL integration, Coroutines, Flow, persistence frameworks, secure mobile development
• JUnit, MockK or Mockito, CI/CD pipelines, code‑quality tools, Agile methodologies
