Senior Android Developer (Kotlin)

About the role

AlayaCare is seeking a Senior Android Developer (Kotlin) to join its Mobile Team. You will design and enhance a mission‑critical mobile application used by thousands of healthcare professionals, reporting to the Engineering Manager and shaping the technical direction of the product.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug complex Android software with a high level of quality.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge‑sharing.
• Drive technical innovation in component reuse, extensibility, maintainability, and scalability.
• Monitor applications in production, proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Contribute to the product‑wide technical roadmap and adopt new technologies aligned with industry trends.
• Participate in a support‑queue rotation to assist the team while respecting personal time.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to fill gaps in requirements and design client‑focused features.
• Plan, implement, and execute end‑to‑end automated tests to ensure quality.
• Help team members understand core concepts and tools of mobile development.
• Anticipate problems, raise concerns to management, and support continuous delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience developing Android applications using Kotlin.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a bias toward action and quality.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.
