Senior Analyst / Associate – Financial Reporting

About the role

British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate to join its Financial Reporting & Valuations team in Victoria. The role will support the evolution of financial reporting amid growing complexity, including the integration of ESG reporting into existing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Work across complex investment structures and contribute to system enhancements.
• Develop modern reporting approaches leveraging data, automation, and AI.
• Maintain strong audit and governance standards for financial statements.
• Resolve IFRS accounting and valuation issues across all asset classes.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve efficiency and forward‑looking reporting practices.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of IFRS technical standards.
• Strong accounting precision and analytical ability.
• Experience in public practice is an asset.
• Ability to influence reporting processes and work collaboratively.
