Senior AI Platform Operations Engineer

About the role

The Senior AI Platform Operations Engineer is accountable for the reliability, operability, and controlled enablement of the organization’s AI platform. This role ensures AI platform services are production‑ready, secure, observable, and compliant while supporting safe and scalable AI adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and operate the AI platform to guarantee availability, performance, and resilience across environments and integrations.
• Monitor platform health via dashboards, logs, metrics and alerts, and lead incident triage, escalation and post‑incident reviews.
• Enable approved AI use cases into production by validating environments, dependencies and completing operational readiness checklists.
• Coordinate release, change readiness validation, maintenance and capacity planning for the platform lifecycle.
• Implement and maintain observability capabilities (telemetry, logging, metrics, traces) and drive AI‑Ops use cases such as alert correlation and anomaly detection.
• Execute governance controls covering usage access, data privacy, auditability and human‑oversight requirements, and maintain documentation for audits.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 5‑7 years of experience in platform operations, SRE, DevOps or cloud operations supporting production services.
• Strong background in incident response, problem management, service restoration and operational reporting.

Required skills

• Azure Automation runbooks (PowerShell, Python), Azure AI, Copilot integrations, AKS, virtual networks (hub‑and‑spoke), App Service.
• Observability tools: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana.
• Microsoft Power Platform administration (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and Copilot Studio lifecycle management.
• Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Entra ID, RBAC, tenant administration.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools: Bicep, Terraform, Azure Policy, Key Vault.
• API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Apache Kafka.
• Data/search services: Elastic, Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB.
• Network security platforms: DNA, Fortinet, Akamai.
