Senior AI Lead – Databricks

About the role

The Senior AI Lead will drive world‑class AI/ML professional services on the Databricks Intelligence Platform. Embedded with client teams, you will act as both technologist and trusted advisor, shaping AI transformations for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design enterprise‑ready AI agents that include retrieval, orchestration, policy‑based routing, tool invocation, evaluation harnesses, and lifecycle observability.
• Architect AI‑native solutions on Databricks using Mosaic AI, Vector Search, Model Serving, and MLflow, with Unity Catalog governance.
• Establish Lakehouse data foundations (Delta Lake, DLT, Unity Catalog) to power production AI across client portfolios.
• Develop abstraction layers across AI providers such as Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI to enable seamless integration.
• Partner with VP, CIO, and CDO stakeholders to define use cases, prototype rapidly, and deploy robust, secure workflows.
• Lead AI professional‑services initiatives, create reusable engagement models, and own OKRs for AI‑services accounts.

Required profile

• Senior AI native leader with proven experience building and scaling AI/ML services.
• Strong executive presence; ability to develop trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Track record of influencing cross‑functional teams including Product, R&D, and GTM.
• Experience leading AI professional‑services initiatives and delivering repeatable, global engagement models.
