Senior Advisor – Legal Affairs

About the role

The Senior Advisor, Legal Affairs protects the organization’s legal interests, ensures compliance with all applicable laws, and safeguards its rights and obligations. You will act as the primary legal representative in complex matters and guide strategic initiatives across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead specialized development projects and initiatives that have organization‑wide impact.
• Advise clients and partners on positioning, planning, executing, and monitoring strategic projects.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve major legal issues, providing recommendations to senior decision‑making bodies.
• Interpret laws and regulations, issuing legal opinions based on facts and applicable law.
• Represent the organization in court, including strategy development, drafting pleadings, preparing witnesses, delivering oral arguments, and negotiating terms.
• Develop and update policies, standards, models, and programs supporting strategic projects.
• Present the unit’s perspective before senior management committees and decision‑making bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum eight years of relevant legal experience.
• Fluent French; intermediate English required for interactions with English‑speaking partners.
• Strong analytical mindset, action‑oriented, and customer‑focused.
