Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Vancouver office and lead a team of accounting professionals. The role involves managing client financial goals, overseeing accounting systems, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and align with clients' financial objectives.
• Prepare and analyse balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and financial reports.
• Design, implement, and maintain accounting systems and internal controls.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of 5‑10 staff members.
• Conduct variance analysis, audit assistance, and tax return preparation.
• Provide financial, business, and tax advisory services.
• Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely, accurate processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
• Proven senior‑level experience in accounting or financial services.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage a large caseload.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Team‑player with initiative and proactive problem‑solving.
