Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations across North America and Europe. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle, multi‑country payroll, and delivering accurate financial reporting for a public company.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations, month‑end journal entries, allocations, accruals and intercompany transactions in NetSuite.
• Prepare and maintain amortization schedules for prepaid and capital expenditures.
• Process multi‑country payroll and ensure compliance with regional tax filings (HST/GST, Ontario EHT, WSIB, T4, T4A).
• Review partnership invoicing, set up revenue recognition, and manage AP/AR across multiple currencies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, supporting public‑company and board‑level reporting.
• Monitor foreign‑currency exchange impacts and ensure adherence to international accounting standards.
• Liaise with auditors, external service providers and government agencies.
• Maintain and improve accounting systems and corporate insurance policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA designation or equivalent professional qualification.
• Extensive experience in full‑cycle accounting, multi‑country payroll and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and international accounting standards.
