Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will execute accounting operations for Hunter Dickinson Services Inc. and its client companies in the mining sector. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role ensures accurate, timely and compliant delivery of accounting services across a multi‑entity, shared‑services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for assigned client entities and analyse variances.
• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple client companies, including revenue recognition, expense classification and capital asset accounting.
• Perform detailed balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items before month‑end close.
• Execute month‑end close activities, prepare journal entries for accruals, deferrals, reclassifications and adjustments.
• Support consolidation processes by providing accurate entity‑level data and intercompany transaction records.
• Maintain comprehensive working papers, documentation and audit trails for all reporting deliverables.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment and collaborating across client companies.
• Ability to interpret and apply IFRS standards to diverse client entities.
