Senior Accountant – Construction Industry

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing construction firm. You will play a key role in managing financial operations, supporting project profitability, and ensuring compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage full‑cycle accounting, including general ledger, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Oversee job costing, work‑in‑progress (WIP) reporting, and project accounting.
• Analyze project profitability and provide financial insights to operational leaders.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Support external audits and tax filings.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership on financial performance reporting.

Required profile

• CPA designation (or actively pursuing) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of job costing, percentage‑of‑completion accounting, and WIP schedules.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.
