Secondary Technological Education Teacher (Grades 10-12) – Full‑time

About the role

The York Region District School Board is seeking a qualified Secondary Technological Education Teacher to deliver instruction to Grade 10, 11 and 12 students on a full‑time, long‑term basis. The successful candidate will join a supportive public‑education environment focused on student success.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Technological Education curriculum for Grades 10‑12.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators and support staff to enhance learning outcomes.
• Participate in professional development and school initiatives as required by the OSSTF collective agreement.

Required profile

• Member in good standing or in the process of becoming a qualified member of the Ontario College of Teachers.
• Completed or enrolled in a Technological Education qualification meeting OCT standards.
• Relevant teaching experience with at least three professional references (two for internal candidates, three for external).
• Ability to meet the collective agreement requirements for certification and professional conduct.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Technological Education content and pedagogy.
• Effective classroom management and assessment techniques.
• Proficiency in using educational technology tools to support instruction.
