Seasonal Landscape Construction Labourer

About the role

Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc is seeking enthusiastic Landscape Construction Labourers for seasonal work across the Edmonton area. You will travel to multiple job sites, helping to build and maintain parks, trails, sports fields, and other outdoor spaces while enjoying the fresh air and natural surroundings.

Key responsibilities

• Transport, spread, and grade topsoil on various project sites.
• Plant sod, shrubs, flowers, and trees according to project specifications.
• Construct landscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and streetscapes.
• Operate hand and power tools safely to dig, grade, and build structures.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring careful handling and site cleanliness.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and cleaning up work areas.

Required profile

• Dependable team player with a positive attitude and willingness to work daily.
• Physical stamina to lift and transport items up to 50 lb.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and personal vehicle for site travel.
• Fluent English communication skills for safety and coordination.
• Commitment to a “Safety First” mindset.

Required skills

• CSTS 2020 certification (may be provided).
• Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Basic equipment operation for grading, digging, and building.
