Seasonal Customer Service Representative – Ferry

About the role

Northumberland Ferries Limited is seeking enthusiastic individuals for seasonal Customer Service positions aboard its Wood Islands–Caribou ferry service. You will interact directly with passengers, provide food service, handle cash transactions, and maintain a clean and safe onboard environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver friendly passenger service and assistance throughout the voyage.
• Perform food service duties, including meal preparation and distribution.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions using point‑of‑sale systems.
• Maintain cleanliness of passenger areas and vessel interiors.
• Assist with reservation and ticketing processes when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and report any incidents.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, food service, or cash handling.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Legal right to work in Canada (citizenship, permanent residency, or appropriate visa).
• Commitment to safe operations and adherence to ferry regulations.
